Ross Eckstein DPT, OCS graduated from the University of Montana in 2016 with a Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree. Prior to this he completed a BS in Exercise Science at Northern Arizona University in 2012. He began working at Plains Physical Therapy in 2018. Ross has extensive post graduate training in manual therapy examination and management of the spine, upper extremities and lower extremities through the North American Institute of Orthopedic Manual Therapy. His passion is for orthopedic physical therapy and in 2019 he achieved his Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) certification through the American Board of Physical Specialties to demonstrate skill and expertise in this area. He has additional knowledge in advanced exercise techniques such as blood flow restriction training to maximize strength and growth when pain or tissue healing do not allow for conventional exercise and velocity based training to optimally improve muscle power. His approach to rehab is to quickly control pain then focus on optimizing the individual’s functional needs through building resiliency and improving the health of the individual.
When Ross is not in the clinic you may find him folfing or hiking with his wife Gabby and their dog Clover. He also enjoys strength training, mountain biking, writing, and reading.
